We  focus on specific practice areas and have recruited the most talented attorneys and paraprofessionals from the U.S. and abroad to work in those practice areas.   We do not even attempt to be all things to all clients. We just stay focused on what our clients need and what we do best. 

Service
Some firms are too big or too busy to provide the right level of experienced attention to most disputes facing businesses today. The clients of some “national law firms” too often end up with their cases being supervised by associates trying to reach a billable hour requirement. Other firms are just too small to adequately staff cases or to consistently provide the level of expertise that clients need.  

Houck Anderson is uniquely positioned to staff cases for every client with seasoned partners and the right number of supporting attorneys and paralegals to get the job done right at a fair price. We don’t use client files to teach someone how to practice law. 

 We provide an outstanding level of client service and communication that is often promised, but seldom delivered.   

Most people agree that lawyers are not always good about returning calls and most are not responsive in general.  We work hard to eliminate the communication problems that clients traditionally have when dealing with other law firms. Our clients have our cell phone and home phone and fax  numbers.  We will always make the extra effort to return phone calls and emails on the same day.  Our case management system is tailored to keep our clients fully informed at each significant stage of the case. We provide real evaluation reports with opinions of likely outcome, verdict range, cost of litigation and if required, reserve recommendations.  We understand that we are here to serve our clients, not the other way around. 

Our Approach
We combine a sensible, deliberate approach to solving commercial problems with the ability to aggressively litigate our clients’ interests.  In lawsuits, arbitrations or other disputes, the firm and client set goals for a desired resolution of the dispute and then use litigation, alternative dispute resolution and other tools to reach those goals. Most often the firm and the client seek to shorten the duration of the claim, thus reducing overall litigation costs. In each matter, we define successful representation as reaching or exceeding every client's objectives quickly and economically. We do not mindlessly march onward, racking up legal bills along the way. What we do for our clients has a specific purpose directly related to considered objectives established at the outset of every case.
