Miami, F.L., July 1, 2011 – Houck Anderson, P.A. is pleased to announce that managing shareholder Mark Houck has been elected to the Board of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida for a two year term beginning July 1, 2011.
Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) is a 50-year old marine trade association that represents a diverse range of business engaged service, sales and support of recreational boating in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Its goals are Promotion, Professionalism and Advocacy on behalf of the more than $10 billion South Florida marine industry.
Of his election Mr. Houck said, “I see MIASF as an organization where my knowledge of marine and maritime issues and passion for the recreational boating industry can converge. Being elected by a vote of the membership is an honor and I look forward to supporting my colleagues as we strive to improve our businesses through collaboration and education and the business environment that we work in.”
